The Samoyed: A Gentle Giant from Siberia

The name "Samoyed" originates from the Samoyedic peoples, nomads who inhabited the Siberian region of northern Russia. Samoyeds, who lived in extremely cold environments, assisted in hunting and pulling sleds.
The Samoyed is also the ancestor of the popular small breed, the Pomeranian.
One of the reasons why Samoyeds are popular is not only their pure white coat but also their "Samoyed smile"! Their upturned mouth corners make them appear to be smiling, earning them the endearing nickname "The Happy Breed" among enthusiasts in the UK.
Due to their close association with the Samoyedic people, Samoyeds are known for their trusting and gentle nature. Although they can be clingy and prone to loneliness, they are playful and not shy, making them suitable as family pets even in households with small children.
Let's Spend Dreamy Time Surrounded by Samoyeds!
While we've introduced the charming Samoyed breed, they require ample space and long walks, making them not easy to bring into your home…To overcome such concerns and enjoy quality time with Samoyeds, there's Japan's first Samoyed-exclusive cafe, "Samoyed Cafe AL," perfect for big dog lovers!
Currently, there are three locations: Komazawa Park, Kyoto Kawaramachi, and Kamitabashi (Tokyo).
If you want to be surrounded by fluffy Samoyeds, be sure to visit "Samoyed Cafe AL"! After spending time with Samoyeds, you might find yourself sporting a "Samoyed Smile" too.
